Traction Tables

Traction is defined as the act of compressing and pulling something to regain the original posture or shape. Traction tables do just the same by implying the theory of spinal decompression. Spinal decompression therapy or spinal traction is used to treat spinal conditions such as sciatica, hip displacement, herniated discs, pinched nerves, etc. The table is equipped with features that help a nurse or caregiver to administer the necessary exercises that work on the spine and the lumbar region of the patient. The patient lies down on the table comfortably, and then the mechanism which is operated by a remote or controller is put into action. The mechanism compresses and stretches the body of the patient thus ensuing the spinal traction. Shaped just like treatment tables, this particular part of clinical furniture is common among orthopaedics and physiotherapists. At Patient Room we have a great range of traction tables from top selling brands such as Armedica, Everday Medical Equipment, etc.
